so i dont know about you all, but lately ive become an absolute hd freak. for me if its not hd its not worth it, or i cant play games or watch movies on it. recently i bought a few more hd tvs and i now have 4 lol, a lil much for 1 person eh. so whats your perspective on hd?

I would soooo totally get more if I had the money bigger the better I would have to say as well, I have a 32 inch and I want bigger but I would be a HD freak if I had the money

i can live without hd. my parents wasted money on a 40 inch and a 42 in. and they wonder why we are in debt

No one wants to engage me in any moving picture discussion, just don't do it. We'll be talking about Timbuktu and the Romans in no time. lol

I have a pretty big DVD collection that is more for research and study than entertainment, I would never consider rebuying them all in blu-ray, there's no point. Upscaling makes them look fantastic for the most part, and most companies didn't properly transfer movies to DVD anyway, so I don't expect them to suddenly raise their standards and stop cutting corners with blu-ray. An interlaced non progressive blu-ray with improper frame rate conversion looks like craaaaaaap. DVD was a huge step forward over VHS ... blu-ray over DVD, not so much. Right now I'm buying blu-rays on a case by case basis cuz some look fantastic and some show virtually no improvement. (unless you're an owl) Of course if something I want or need comes out in both DVD and blu-ray I buy the blu-ray.

But I do like HD a lot, especially upscaling, it's finally brought home movie viewing up to the same level of quality you find in 35mm projection. (or whatever they're doing now lol) And its fucking great not to have those 8 foot deep tubes anymore!!!!!

i love the hd i have. its a 50 inch samsung, and it is awesome. i usually play from my couch, which is about 14 feet away. and even that far away, everything is clear, when i play the game, the tanks are huge, the people are about a foot tall.. if only i can convince my wife to get a 65, then i would be set.

I have 2 32" samsungs but I want about a 42" but I'll have to wait a little while. As Geo stated upscaling dvds make them look great and the older movies redone on blu-ray aren't really worth getting.

hey ultimate why since your tv is so big and the people are so big that you cant keep your skill level down, you should have an advantage over everyone here being able to see everything a lot better and have a bigger target, LOL!!!

nope not at all, you should have been with us growing up he put me through hell, got even though when he broke his hand when he hit me in the head, never hit me again after that, no wonder why my wife calls me hard headed

yep, my had still hurts to the day, i think i did some nerve damage too. the good thing about it now is that we can still team kill each other, and we dont get hurt. thanks bfbc.
