you may want to check out one of these antenna's. there easy to use and imoroves signal strength. I have used three of them so far setting up bars internet for out jukes, and other internet usable devices. what it does it basically boost your signal strength, and improves internet conectablity. the price isnt bad...
I can attest that this product will/should work better that a regular antenna.
i was setting up a bar in a small town that has a shitty ISP. and the lady that owned the bar lived about 100 feet down the street. what we did was us this antenna in place of her existing antenna on her router. and at the bar through a wal and 100 feet away the signal strength was 97%. now i know allot of you have a router and it may not be 100 feet away, but if its close to your ps3, but not close enough, this may be the solution to you low signal strength.

Thanks bro, I'll check this out. My signal strength is usually between 60-70%. Not sure if that's really low, but it would help if I got it up in the 90% range.

I dont know how many people this will help or whether it is an option for some people, I recently got a new modem and let me tell you what, it has a wireless router built in and you can connect up to 4 computers to the back of it, right now I have my computer, PS3 wired and my Wii is wireless and I cant be more happy. I used to have to unplug my computers ethernet cord and plug my ps3s ethernet cord in and now I dont have to, makes my life more simple, if you guys have more than one system this would be a definite must have. The modem I got is made by ATT so you might not be able to get the one I have but here it is, it is called a 2 wire Gateway

what you have is a router. and the biggest thing i have seen about the people using wireless, is that the ps3 isnt close enough to the router to use a cat 5 wire to hardwire their ps3. it may be upstains and their ps4 is in the basement, so the sigh nall has to go through about 2 wall, and a fllor, which may be carpeted. this antenna boosts your routers signal so it will give them better connectivity.
