Turtle Beach PS3 Headset

Man this thing looks awesome, I'm buying the fuck out of that, and hey, hopefully I'll be able to play 1943 by the time it comes out!

I want one of the NFL head coach's headsets, those are the nicest lol.

I had a pair of these when I had an xbox...I still used them late at night when everyone was asleep and you could hear everything around you like people running right behind you with their knife out. I will probably get those too for ps3 if the mic works. I never got the mic to work with the xbox. =/

You can zoom in on that Amazon pic, it's a little remote, the labels say: Mic - On/Mute, Chat Volume, Game Volume, Bass, and something called Expander - On/Off.

Feeling friendlier? If you never got the mic working that's a pretty big deal, no? Combining mic and ingame sound in one high quality headset seems like the main drawing point. I'll have to read some more about TurtleBeach. I already have big ass Sony v600 studio headphones, I love playing with those because like you wrote you get lots of important info from the fucking amazing sound in BC ... I know I always do better with them. My 19" Magnavox HDTV's sound suuuuuucks, so I try to use them whenever I'm solo. The PS3 headset does fit underneath them but it's not too comfy. TRITTON seems to make some cool ones too, I dunno what's what amongst these things though.

What I'm thinking now is that with the crappy mic support PS3 games tend to have, the Turtle Beach headset might be a waste of money. I love the idea especially when you consider how awesome BF sound is, but maybe I should just get something simple like this:

Whatever the case, I need to buy a wired USB headset cuz a lot of you guys rarely hear me on the stupid official PS3 Bluetooth one.
