PS3 Firmware 2.70

Subject: PS3 Firmware 2.70 Fri Feb 27, 2009 1:29 pm

This update is supposed to be major with the key component being a new option for messaging. Rather than a text message it is supposed to offer you the choice to send a 30 second recording as well as the option for in game chat! This sounds major, plz post any details you come across.

The only news I can find about the release date is it will be in Q2 of 09 Mad

if u can do voice chat during the game that means even if ur not in the same squad you can talk!

Yeah that would be kick ass, hopefully it wont be choppy like it is most of the time now on bfbc.

Any news on this? I hope the stuff I read supposedly in this update isn't just a rumor, it would bump up PSN several notches from what it currently is.

due out later this month ... here is 2 sites that have it listed so i can probably say it's confirmed and will be available by the end of the month, the one says that the guy inadvertently blurted this out and within hours his post was quickly edited, thus giving the allusion that it can be seen as true, why else would sony respond so quickly?

it's definitely coming out this month, one of the sony reps confirmed like a week ago, and it's speculated that it will probably be out on the 27th, now this doesn't make the 27th true as that is only speculated but it is definitely coming this month, and with only 9 days left it's not long to wait. Very Happy

now i've seen this tuesday the 24th as a possible release, although this isn't confirmed i hope we will see it anywhere tuesday-thursday, the sooner the better Very Happy
