Signing in issues

Since I have played BFBC or any other game online I have no problem getting connected and staying connected, then all of the sudden like 2 months ago I kept on getting kicked from PSN, my connection from my wireless router to my computer couldnt be found stuff like that, so I decided to buy a new wireless router. Well now I am having a tough time logging into any online games, most of the time it takes me like 5 trys to log into BFBC, and sometimes I cannot join clan games or invites from people to join. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is going on?

Just to let you know my set up. My wireless router is only 10 feet away from my ps3. The router is made by Belkin, its a Wireless G Plus MIMO Router, the only systems that are using the wireless router is my PS3 and a Wii. Thanks for the input

Heres a tip for ya......USE A ETHERNET CORD!!!!! lol. If your ps3 is only 10 feet from your ps3 why in the hell wouldnt you be using a wired connection???? Wireless is no where near as good or stable as a wired connection. If I were you I would go buy a 10 or 15 ft. ethernet cord, and you should see a reduction in all the problems you are having immediatly. You should also see a big diffrence in lag with a wired connection.

I am glad that you mentioned that, my ps3 is in bedroom and with my kid running around all the time I dont want her to get into it and mess it up I could try and run it under the carpet stuff like that but dont feel like takin the time

PLAYSTATION

3 Remote Play
If the router in use supports UPnP, enable the router’s UPnP function.
If the router does not support UPnP, you must set the router’s port
forwarding to allow communications to the PLAYSTATION 3 from the
Internet. The port number that is used by remote play is TCP Port: 9293

(you may have to run an ethernet cable temp. to the pc from the router to be able to get into the router settings, not sure as I have never used wireless)

If a no go try this:

if you don't want to run a wire (which is the best choice) go into your routers settings... open up web browser and go to http://192.168.2.1 and as long as you have firewall on your computer (NOT WINDOWS FIREWALL, refer to the comodo post in here if you need one) disable NAT firewall.. and see if that helps with losing connection. If you have the choice disable DHCP servers disable that aswell. Another possibility with wireless routers is your connection may be getting stolen by neighbors if you dont have a good password on it or one at all for that matter. Happens all the time so dbl check that for sure. Again if you dont have a good firewall you dont want to disable those security options. I use a Linksys router so im not exactly sure of your settings.

My pc is in a seperate room from my ps3 so I put a small hole in the wall and ran the cord threw it and around the edge of the wall just pulled up the carpet so it couldnt be seen. I would deffinatley do something similar if I were you..........You should see a diffrence immediatley if you are having any problems.
