I think demo is gonna be cut because of the larger maps. There should still be shotguns though for all the close quarters combat. Maybe support will be cut??

if you do some close observations like ive done, all signs point to the specialist class being cut. 1. in the first video we see a sniper 2. just look through the pics and you will see a demo with ns2000, plenty of assault dressed guys with assault rifles, and plenty of support guys dressed as support, in the more recent photo with a PKM
so with this, i say specialist is going to be the class that is cut

Well no, I don't know that you're right, I'd like to think you're wrong. lol But I'd like to diversify, yea. I was just talking with KilLa about that, I go Assault more and more now anyways.
The biggest annoyance for me with spec is that it doesn't matter how good you are with C4, it's still going to fuck you ... and often. I've had so many awesome moments snatched from my jaws, it's infuriating. I figure I have to snipe, no choice, esp for 1943. I practiced sniping on unranked two nights ago, did pretty well wasn't a mess, leading shots felt pretty natural.
edit: those jerks .... yea it was spec throwing bfbc off balance right DICE? Not recon? edit edit: I'll be on before midnight!

the C4 has pissed me off a lot lately, mainly because right before i die i will press the trigger and hear the little noise yet it wont go off, costing me kills and mostly a life, and it's also pissing me off b/c i will plant a stick at a base forget about it and when i need to blow it ill switch and its not on the detonator, yet another stick causing me to throw it and blow myself up by accident, or costing me the kill b/c they got away.

dont know if it's true or not but i saw someone list 4 classes
1. assault - standard foot soldier 2. medic - heal and revive the team 3. engineer - fix vehicles 4. sniper - no description needed
so if this is true, than they would have cut both demo and specialist and replaced two classes with different roles.

No one mentioned that people are repelling off that heli!!!! YAY!! lol It's not spec that I'l miss it's spec guns, fuck C4, seriously. Someone mentioned to me once that it's lag that causes the C4 gltiches so there's nothing DICE could do about it. I dunno what I think about C4, I've got a decent kd of 17 w/ it, but the multitude of problems are just too much to contend with. I think I like spec so much because it's versatile, and I can control the game in ways you just can't with assault.
Maybe we'll still get the spec guns though ... Gamespot does already have the UMP or UZI (don't remember which) listed as an early unlock bonus for pre-ordering. I will miss the PP2000 a lot if it's not in though, and I have a feeling it won't be since it's not everyone's favorite and it's not a gun with a legacy like the UZI, M16 or AK47. The fact that it's an experimental Russian gun from 2004 that has never been battle tested doesn't bode well for it either. The gun has a sort of punchiness that I love, like the feel of a good d-pad vs. a bad mushy one.

Why would they split support in two like that? I've heard/seen people complaining about that before but I don't get it. I think that complaint was part of the BF2 crowd who didn't like BFBC. Seems like a good idea to me to have one class heal and repair. So would the assault class then most likely have domain over shotties, spec guns and assault rifles? If that list is accurate, it looks like they've folded all the cq infantry roles into assault ... which is probably not a bad idea. Custom kits sound great too. WTF was that guy talking about when he mentioned "deepening persistence ... by A LOT"????
And Q1 2010 is a while off, I don't know that 1943 will last until then.
